If you’re looking to run lightweight software on your desktop, laptop and phone, the Internet Security Plus plan may be best for you. Webroot’s Internet Security Plus plan offers the same benefits as the SecureAnywhere plan (except for a vulnerability scan addition on Android), but the real benefit is the ability to protect more than one device. We believe the SecureAnywhere plan is best suited for users with just one personal computer to protect. This means that it can be used on computers with less power or older devices. On the positive side, it’s a lightweight solution that doesn’t take up much system processing or power. This plan, however, doesn’t offer many additional tools or features. Webroot’s SecureAnywhere Antivirus software plan for one device scored well in our tests. Webroot performed well overall in our tests, offers great customer service options and has some of the best antivirus features in the industry. Our Webroot antivirus review covers all personal plans on Android, Windows and iOS devices. It offers three plans: Webroot SecureAnywhere AntiVirus, Webroot Security Plus with AntiVirus and Webroot Internet Security Complete with AntiVirus. I am curious what others are using for surge protectors/power bars for equipment that does not need a UPS.

  • Preferred brands of surge protectors/power bars Best Practices & General IT.
  • I had searched prior to asking and did not find a solution. Hope this helps someone else, and thanks to SomewhereinSC for taking the time to post the solution from another thread. I am still shaking my head that WAV caused this, as I would have expected more endpoints to be affected.
  • Reinstall WAV and then Chrome continued to work.
  • After we disabled WAV, Chrome immediately ran just fine!.
  • This allowed us to disable WAV on the endpoint for testing.
  • To test if WAV was the culprit, we changed the affected endpoint from the custom global policy ( where we have Webroot locked down) to the Unmanaged global policy.
  • My logic was "there is no way the Webroot AV (WAV) is the cause, because if it were, we would have more clients affected" and that logic was defeated! This WAS the solution after all, and honestly I am surprised. goal was to get it working, uninstall/reinstall worked. Oh and BTW we too use the Webroot web console version and Chrome is working on many many others, but the above worked on the 3 users we had issues with. Uninstall Webroot, test Chrome (works), reinstall webroot, test Chrome (works). and actually uninstalling webroot worked.
  • We use Webroot, and it is the MSP version across 300 computers.no issues on others with the same global policy, so it cannot be AV.
